ENVIRONMENTAL FIELD
STUDING OUR UNIVERSE
Gallium trichloride is used to study solar neutrinos produced in the sun. Neutrinos are particles created in the first second of the universe and are continually being made through nuclear reactions of the sun and other stars.

TOXICITY
When exposed to high temperatures, gallium's cytotoxicity can damage plants and animals especially if it isn't used in a moderate way.

NEGATIVE IMPACTS
The process to remove gallium from plutonium (from formed nuclear bomb pits)Â contributes to a huge amount of pollution in water with radioactive substances.
